Now David Archuleta sang When You Believe in tonights epsode of American Idol 7. And as you know, the judges were all over him.
You see, if you’re a fan of David, you’re going to want to watch ths video. And the reason is because he does an awesome job singing When You believe.
Now, there will be some poeple who say that only teeny boppers are voting for him. And the reason for it is because of his good looks. But I think it’s hard to deny he’s got a wonderful voice.
You see, these were the judges’ reactions tonight:
Randy: You probably picked one of the toughest songs. But I gotta tell you something. If you can sing, you can sing anything. That was the bomb, baby!
Paula: You made Mariah feel proud, very proud.
Simon: I thought it was very, very good. You performed that very well.
Anyway, I hope he chooses a few edgier songs to show off to others that he;s more than good looks. I think edgier songs will help him break the mould of being just a ballad singer or something.
Anyway, here’s the clip you;ve been waiting for.

David Cook completely bombed last night. I don’t care what anybody else has to say about this guy. He is a total phony! He comes out wearing this white jacket like he’s an angel or something and decides to sing Our Lady Peace’s “Innocent”. Well I could handle the jacket but the song was just an atrocity to mankind. He dropped the first verse down an octave which came off as very strange and sounded bad bad bad. His notes in the middle of the song are totally off-pitch. And he ends the performance by walking over to the judges and showing off his hand to the camera which has “Give Back” written on it.
COME ON NOW!
This guy is the biggest gimmicky, fake, wanna-be loser to ever grace the Idol stage!! Luckily the judges agreed with me Randy said he didn’t quite get it and it fell a little short. Paula said he has the whole package (but we all know Paula’s opinion doesn’t count). Simon says he didn’t like it and that it was David’s weakest performance in the last 2 weeks.
Have a look for yourself.
Carly Smithson performed Queen’s “The Show Must Go On” and to be honest, the show is pretty much over for her. The girl can sing but seriously, don’t take on Freddie Mercury if you can’t quite do it right. Randy said it was just okay and that she didn’t quite hit the mark. Paula says she is going to have to agree with Randy - said she didn’t feel engaged with her. Simon called it an unusual choice of song, told Carly she oversang it and lost control of the song. Plus she sounded angry.
David Archuleta sat at the piano and performed “Angels” just beautifully. Randy called it his “hottest moment the whole season” and loved it when he stopped playing and sang some runs. Simon said it was the best song choice of the night so far. Then he tells him that his vocal was better at the end than at the beginning. But he added that he was just picking on David because the kid is going to sail on through to the next round.
What you think about his performance?
Brooke White changed it up with “You’ve Got A Friend” by singing at the microphone and having someone else play piano. It wasn’t her greatest performance but I love her anyway. Randy said it wasn’t her best but he wasn’t mad at her. Paula called it a perfect way to end the show. And it yet another hilarious moment from Simon, he seemed in a happy daze and called Brooke’s performance a nice, pleasant walk in the park. Then added a very funny, “thank you” to signal that was all he had to say.

Last night’s idol was inspirational song night. So how did they do?
Michael Johns performed Aerosmith’s famous “Dream On” and it was actually really good (for him). He even goes up to Steven’s acclaimed falsetto. Randy said it was a pretty good song choice but there were some pitch problems. Agreed. And after some back and forth commentary, Randy declared that American Idol is not ‘about dreams’. Wow! Come on, Randy.. that was a bit harsh! Paula totally disagrees with Randy and says his high notes would have her chihuahuas joining him on stage. Simon says he liked it but it was a “little bit wannabe-ish”. Hmmm. Isn’t this what I’ve been saying about Michael Johns and David Cook from day one? Looks like Simon is catching on to it too.
Anyway, here’s how he went!
If you’re like me then you were wondering what in the world Syesha Mercado could have possibly sang that would top her last two weeks of performances. Last night she went with a Fantasia Barrino song and in my opinion she does it better than the original. She hits one insanely high note and totally made my jaw drop. Randy said it was okay but she doesn’t have the emotional connection that Fantasia does. Paula says she “flipped it” and made it her own and that “hands down, this is one of your shining nights”. Simon feels like it was good but it lacked a “big, big wave of emotion”.
Jason Castro came out with a ukelele and performed “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. It was absolutely beautiful and so simple. Randy called it “blazin’ moltin’ hot” and said it was the best performance of the night. Paula says he did a great job and Simon called it “fantastic.”
What do you think?
Kristy Lee Cook is still in the game unfortunately. Last night she tackled Martina McBride’s “Anyway” and it was alright. It was good but not nearly as good as the original. She just doesn’t have enough power behind her voice and there were definitely some pitchy points. Simon said he thought she was really good, “you look like a star tonight, Kristy”. And in a hilarious Idol moment, Paula says to Simon, “let’s not forget she sang it unbelievably” to which Simon responds, “well, not unbelievably - but good”. Classic.
Take a look for yourself.

Hmm. As you probably know, some of our American Idol stars have been in the news for stuff other than for AI. Now, I’m cool with what they’ve done.But there are some people who think that everyone should be “clean” or something…. Like they want to bring up stuff which they think is “bad” and “wrong”.Anyway, if you don’t know what I mean, then have a look at this. You see, several of this year’s American Idol contestants are involved in “scandal”.David Hernandez, Danny Noriega and Ramieles are supposed to have done something “bad”.Now, I don’t know why they say this, but I don’t see this as a “scandal”. I guess they must be doing it for ratings or something.Anyway, lets give them a chance. For more American Idol 7 news and stuff, bookmark our site today.

Tonight was 80s night on American Idol for the top 8 guys.
Luke Menard should really just get a clue and get gone already. He actually went with Wham!’s “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” which was just as bad as the original. This guy has absolutely no radio-quality whatsoever. He scooped up to one high note that just made me cringe. Randy said he was ahead of the song’s timing in parts and it was corny but alright. Paula was surprised that he chose that song and wondered why he didn’t come out in those legendary George Michael short shorts.
David Archuleta did yet another great job tonight with “Another Day in Paradise”. He played piano for the first half of the song which was awesome to see. Randy said it was an interesting song choice that didn’t show off all his vocals but it was nice. Paula calls him perfect. And Simon said he wasn’t as good as last week. Then he warned David to stay away from performing too many gloomy songs.
Danny Noriega keeps getting more annoying every week. I liked him at first but my opinion has slowly been changing each week (if you haven’t already noticed). His version of “Tainted Love” was a combination of rock and androgyny. Simon called it “completely useless” and hated it all. I can’t say I disagree. The judges were yacking away when Paula mentioned something totally off-subject about chicken wings. Seriously, what is she smoking?
I’m sure you’ve all heard the news by now that David Hernandez used to be a stripper in a gay club. Does anybody really find that surprising? The Idol folks say they are not going to disqualify him which doesn’t make much sense seeing as how others have been booted out before for having similar pasts.
Despite all that, David did a really dramatic performance of “It’s All Coming Back To Me” and all I could really think about was whether or not the song was a tribute to his stripper days. Paula made a few comments that I construed as a dig at the whole situation, “I feel like you’re getting into your groove here” and “you’re a really good performer”. Well naturally somebody who used to strip knows how to put on a good show!!
Anyway, here’s his performance;

It must be hard to be on stage and know you are up to be knocked out.And it must be even harder to contain the disappointment after you know you are not going any further.
You see, the reason I say this is because of what happened tonight.
Now, if you didn’t watch tonight’s episode, then you probably don’t know who was knocked out of American Idol 7. And if you don’t want to know, then stop reading now. I don;t wanna spoil it for you.
Anyway, tonight we see Alaina lose it when she loses and almost refuses to sing. I don’t know about you, but I felt really sad for her. I know she wasn’t the best talent and her song choice was all wrong for her, but to see her sort of cry and stuff made it a little sad.
Lucky we got Paula there to make things all rosey again.
… And even Simon chipped in too.
Anyway, there were 3 others who won’t be going on. And if you want to watch what happened, here are a few clips for you.
Enjoy

If you watched the Superbowl yesterday, you probably thought you were watching a special edition of American Idol or something.
You see, there were 3 main stars which featured in it.
First of all there was our man, Ryan Seacrest. You see, he was running around the red carpet as if he was playing ball or something. Anyway, the best moment has to be when the Hollywood celebrities attending the game, walked up the red carpet.
Anyway, have a look at this video;
You see, another idol performed at the Suprbowl. Ok. Maybe not performed.
… But she did sing the National anthem.
Yeah, the winner of American Idol 2007 sang the National Anthem before the game. And when you watch the video, you see who she is going for. (I guess if you know Jordin, you know she was always gonna go for them)
Take a look;
Now that wasn’t the end of it.
You see, our own Paula Abdul and Randy on Guitar, performed her new single, Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow.
Have a look;
Anyway, it was a big day for American Idol. But I think instead of calling it the Superbowl, they should rename it the SuperIdol or something.
I wonder what those hardcore NFL football supporters would think of that?
Hmmmmm.
Anyway, stay tuned for the next American Idol 7 updates.

Ahh. There’s been some real freaks auditioning for American Idol 7 this year. And if you missed the last episode of American Idol, you probably missed Sarah Whitaker.
Now when it comes to freaks, Sarah is up there with the best of them.
You see, Sarah is 25, and from Council Bluffs, Iowa. Now that’s nothing to hold against her.
But she is a freak. Well, actually she’s a freakin’ freak. (Ok. Sarah if you are reading this, I’m only joking! )
You see, Sarah used to be a professional goth wrestler. And One of our spies says she used to wrestle under the name… wait for it…
… Lady Morgue or something.
Anyway, the reason I want you to watch this is because she kinds of scares me. First. Because she’s 10 times bigger than Ryan. Now that doesn’t mean much. But when you hear her laugh, you’ll know why she freaks me out more.
As you probably know, she didn’t get through. And if you watch Randy’s face, I think he looks a bit intimidated.
Anyway, if you wanna watch the full episode, you can check it out here.
