As you probably know, it was Mariah Carey night. And the top 7 sung their heart out.

… While others cried too.

Ok. So David Cook sang Always Be My Baby.

Anyway, normally I hate to see guys cry, but with David, I felt sorry for him. You see, I think he was emotional because his ill older brother with cancer was in the audience or something.

As they said at the start of the series, they wanna make this a little more down to earth. So I guess it was cool that American Idol flew David’s brother to see him on a private jet. You probably know that he wasn’t allowed to fly on a commercial plane due to the sick.

Anyway, I think David Cook’s version of Always Be My Baby was good.

And if you didn’t catch it, then have a look for yourself.

It must be hard to be on stage and know you are up to be knocked out.And it must be even harder to contain the disappointment after you know you are not going any further.

You see, the reason I say this is because of what happened tonight.

Now, if you didn’t watch tonight’s episode, then you probably don’t know who was knocked out of American Idol 7. And if you don’t want to know, then stop reading now. I don;t wanna spoil it for you.

Anyway, tonight we see Alaina lose it when she loses and almost refuses to sing. I don’t know about you, but I felt really sad for her. I know she wasn’t the best talent and her song choice was all wrong for her, but to see her sort of cry and stuff made it a little sad.

Lucky we got Paula there to make things all rosey again.

… And even Simon chipped in too.

Anyway, there were 3 others who won’t be going on. And if you want to watch what happened, here are a few clips for you.

Enjoy
